Jumbled Thoughts

finally getting a car
The past week or so hasn't really had anything special happening, except figuring out that I actually have money to finally buy my own car. This revelation came to me when I was at my parent's last week and was given all my mail that got sent there. One of the things in the pile was a statement for a savings account I've had since like forever. Since the statement only comes in twice a year, I usually forget about it and don't normally touch it, I think the only time I've taken money out of there was to pay for the first lease for this house. So I open it up, and there's like a little over $1,200 in there, so I was pretty happy to see that. Since I've got loans to cover the rest of my education, I was thinking I could take the money out to buy a car, so I double checked this with Mom, and she said I could since it is my money. So now that I've got that ok'ed, it's time for me to go car shopping! ^_^ From the look of things, I'll probably be going on Monday since that's my next day off on both jobs, or if I'm lucky Friday morning since I'll be spending Thursday night at my parent's after closing the arcade and I don't have to be at Taco Bell until 4 since I'm closing there Friday night. Overall, I'm super-excited to finally have a car and can't wait for all the freedom of driving myself where I want when I want when I get it because the bus sux ass (though getting rides from Mike is nice when it works out).
