meh Lot of ups and downs these last few days. Thursday night was more downs than ups as my plans for after work that day was to do my Operation Replay writeup, then get my homework done just before Smackdown so I could watch that, then get some more work done on MKBO's forums. What really happened was me and Mike coming home to our landlord getting there at the same time to fix a circuit that's been troublesome for a while, which was pretty nice. However, they hit the circuit the front of my room is on, which has my computer, phobos, and my video games on it. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but instead of turning back on like normal, my pc kept restarting just after the windows logo, staying in a loop, which really sucked ass. Then there's something about our lease that doesn't make sense at all which just hurts my head trying to think about it. When I talked to him about it, things made perfect sense, then Kere had to throw a wrench in my thoughts later on when I explained it to her later so now it's messed up in my head. Oh well, it'll work out, so I'm not gonna worry about it now. Not having my computer working really sucked for the night though. I never ended up doing the Operation Replay writeup because of it, and was just barely able to get my homework done on time using the laptop. When trying to repair it, it looked like there was no longer a file system for the C drive. Boy was that a big relief. -_-;;
Friday I don't remember too much of, except that Steve wasn't coming up that day so I couldn't get a ride home and had to take the bus. I don't really remember what I did that night, I think I tried to see if I could at least recover anything from the C drive but failed. I also moved some stuff on my desk to keep my laptop there until I found time to reinstall windows and everything else on the computer. Saturday started out shitty, but got great just before I got out of work. It rained Saturday which meant lots of people at the mall which means a shitload of customers for Dan to deal with. So that was shitty, especially since from 12 - 4 I was the only cashier. Didn't get a break until 5. When we closed out my drawer, it was short a little bit. Part of this was because we ran out of guac earlier and I had to refund 2 sides of it but we never marked it in the computer, part because I dropped a quarter and couldn't find it, and one cent that I had to give away on my last order since I was out of pennies. So we expected it to be like $1.10 short, but it was around $1.28 more short than that. That's still pretty damn good for a drawer netting close to $1,500, but I hate having more than a quarter difference. However, just before I left when Mike put a drawer where mine was, he found a debit slip in there that was for $1.28. At that point I was bouncing off the walls, because I could account for every cent for my drawer, meaning I had been perfect all day. Having a perfect drawer netting less than $40 shy of $1,500 is definitely my best accomplishment in work to date. And I mean a serious accomplishment, not accomplishment as in breaking shit. ^^;;; So I was on a big emotional high coming home that night. Add in going to Kev's and drinking a lot knowing that I had Sunday off to recover and it was a great night.
Yesterday I slept in which was great, and I reinstalled near everything on my computer. I store my stuff on other hard drives anyway so the hard drive frying wasn't too big a deal, it was just annoying in that I lost my mail I had stored on it as well as stuff on my desktop I hadn't moved over yet. It kinda sucked though since I was planning a reformat really soon anyways, probably yesterday actually, so losing that stuff so close to when I was going to do backups kinda sucked ass. That stuff doesn't matter too much to me, the part that really sucked was losing all the user and other data for Lil Yay, since I've been hosting that for a few months now and hadn't backed it up yet. So now I have to restart that thing from scratch with no data brought over. Meh. At least after I restored my computer I practically finished the MKBO forums. I'll be working on the site next and hopefully have that up within the week. Today I've got homework due which shouldn't be a problem, as well as setting up Lil Yay again, but something that sucked today was that I went down to P&C to get a 10 trip bus ticket, and they're STILL out. They were out when I went last Sunday, and then I went the day after and the person that day supposedly wrote a note to get more, it's been a week since then and they still have none. One of the two people there at the desk said they had just called for more earlier today. Fucking ridiculous. Takes over a week from when you run out to get more? When you're the ONLY place in Oswego to buy these tickets, you think you'd care more about keeping them in stock, like calling for more when they start to run low, not waiting at least 8 days to decide to call for more. Glad to see you care about your customers, I swear if I had another place to buy them I'd never get them from P&C again. A waste of a fucking hour walking there and back. I don't mind the walking at all, it's the principle of the thing. Must be great to be the only ones selling those things to know you can treat the customers like shit and know they'll come back since they have to, fucking assholes. Besides that, it's been a good day. Looks like I'll get a lot done like yesterday which I'm looking forward too. Speaking of yesterday, my brother (Jeff), Devin, Tim, and Sam stopped by after seeing a movie, so that was cool seeing them again for a little bit. Also, when Hugh came back from downstate, since my friends down there couldn't find one of my DVDs I let them borrow a while ago (they borrowed my EVA box for a while, but it came back with disc 1 missing), they bought me the first DVD of the EVA Platinum release, which just kicks major ass. Remastered EVA with awesome video and surround sound is great, and it looks like I'll be getting these new Platinum releases now. First run of them get a shiny slip case, so for all 7 discs with the special cases should fit in my LE metal box perfectly once all the old discs get replaced. Looks like I'll be getting EVA DVDs as they come out, again.
