    Time Event

    happy birthday Mike ^_^ (and fucking Centro)
    Eh, the past week has been fairly uneventful for the most part. Nothing really of much interest to note, except for these two men at the arcade on Saturday night. Saturday, Steve was nice enough to let me borrow his car to get to work and back as long as I put some gas in his car, which I did before I got to work. I didn't come back to Oswego right away after I got out, I decided to chill in the arcade for a bit. Me, Paul, Jason, Nikki, and this new employee (who also works at Arby's) were just chilling and talking and then these two guys came to the counter asking to exchange their tickets for tokens. The new guy (I haven't learned his name yet ^^;;; ) said that tickets aren't used to get more tokens, that they're used to get prizes from the counter. Now I already was trying to hold myself back from laughing at this point, and then one of them said that we should put up a sign explaining that you can't get more tokens for tickets or something like that, I forgot. A sign?! Wow, I really think that these guys would have to be the stupidest people I've seen in person to say something like that. I can't even say ignorance because these guys were two grown men probably at least 10 years older than me, and I find it very hard to believe that this was their first time in the arcade in their whole lives. They asked how long they could save their tickets for, the new guy said as long as they want, and the two guys just got pissed off and left their tickets because they just "wasted" their money. Come on, if you were unsure of what something was used for, why would you spend so much money on it? It's a good thing I wasn't working, I would've had a lot more fun. ^_^

    Yesterday was a day off for me. I watched this past Thursday's Smackdown first to catch up on what I missed, and then I did the unthinkable. I cleaned my room. o.o;; Yep, no more shit on the floor or all around, the room is actually neat and clean now. I also moved my bed longside against the wall again, so there's a big center to the room again and my chair can move around freely. Only big difference that I'll be getting used to is that I'm sitting on the edge of my bed at the desk rather than on the chair, but it shouldn't take too long to get used to, and the convience of being able to lay down and see both the TV and computer monitor more than makes up for it. After finally finishing up with the room, I basically just watched TV for the rest of the night.

    Today is my housemate, Mike's, birthday. I knew it was coming soon, but didn't find out until yesterday that today was the day. Me and George had talked about ordering a cookie cake from a place in the mall and bringing it to him later, but it looks like another movie theater worker ordered one from P&C. So we're going to store that cake in the Taco Bell walk-in cooler during the day and give it to Mike when he get's in to work, which I'm assuming is quite a bit later today as he's still in bed.

    With that in mind, and that I switched shifts with Bobbie-Jo (I work today for her and she works next Tuesday for me) for 11 - 4, I figured I'd take the first bus to the mall to get there at 9 so I would have an hour (mall opens at 10) to find Mike a good gift (aka choosing a game he would like) and be sure I'm there when whoever got the cake was coming to put it in the cooler. However, the first bus decided to miss me. I say it missed me and not the other way around because the bus got to the stop about two minutes early and waited about 20 seconds before going on. The bus stop is just a little after W 1st St when you're going down W Bridge St, and it passed me when I was 3/4 between 2nd and 1st St.s (closer to 1st). I was just like "Whatever, I'm so close and it'll stay there for at least a minute I don't have to run. At the pace I'm going at, I'll be there in half a minute anyway." Right after I crossed 1st, it left, and I exclaimed out loud, "Oh that is just bullshit, fucking a," and just turned around and came back home. I'm not mad or anything since the next bus will get me to the mall at like 10 - 15 after 11, and none of us really care if I come in that late since it doesn't matter that much in the morning, I'm just rather annoyed since this is the first time I would've been to the mall so early that I actually wanted to do stuff before having to punch into work. Not to mention the fact that I've been on the bus at stops waiting for 3 - 5 minutes of waiting at certain stops when getting there early with no one ever getting on no matter how long we wait, whereas today they get there early and don't wait for shit at one of the bigger stops. -_-;;;

    harborfest weekend looks good
    Well, after a bot of a bumby start, the rest of the day seemed to go by very well. Just as I was walking to the bus stop again, Mike drive by and brought me to the mall. He was going to pick up his new(er) car which was fairly close to the mall, so that worked out very well. I got to work on time, and was still able to buy his gift, where I ended up getting him the Mega Man Anniversary Collection disc for Game Cube. I gave it to him when he went into work around 6 and he was happy with it. ^_^

    For getting home, George was going to bring me home, but he needed to stop at CompUSA first to see if they had this older RAM chip there at all. This meant that I finally got to go to Carousel Mall after a while. It wasn't that crowded which was very nice, I was even able to get on the DDR Extreme machine not once, but twice! I only wish that we had an Extreme machine in our arcade so I would be better at a lot more songs, since I tried to do songs I already played on MAX2 for eye candy, and slightly easier songs that I've never played to stay with the eye candy but not fail. A few people actually clapped after I played Kakumei. ^^;;; I shyly thanked them, and was telling myself in my head that they should see some of the regulars there for some real skill. I can hold my own, but I'm nowhere near some other players, especially players at Carousel. However, it was nice to be the one getting the attention rather than giving other people attention there. Another cool thing about the Carousel trip, which is actually pretty amazing when I think about it, is that I didn't buy a damn thing. That's right, nothing. I almost bought myself my own copy of the aforementioned disc aboce, but decided I could buy that anytime and that I should buy something that I couldn't normally just walk in a store and buy. Almost got a DVD + box, but at literally the last second, went back to the shelf and put it back. I think this has to be the first time in years I haven't bought something at that mall when I've been there. Damn responsibility. Though I'm sure Mom will be proud of me if I tell her. Though she'll comment that i should do that more often. -_-;;;

    Now I'm home, and gonna head off to bed for work in the morning. Today was a pretty good day, tomorrow seems to look well since I'll be grocery shopping for the first time in a while to be ready for Harborfest weekend, and knowing my shopping skills, a few weeks. Then after work Thursday is the start of Harborfest, where I've made sure to have the whole weekend off to kick back, relax, and get bombed. ^^;;; Gonna be a good week.
