^____^ Before I type anything about any events in the past couple days (which I'll either do later tonight or during my day off tomorrow), there's something awesome (to me anyways) that happened a couple days ago that I just noticed.
I have been a frequent visitor to
The X Bridge for many years now, well before it was renamed to its current name, hell I even came across it a couple times when it was CN2 before it was names to CNX for a bunch of years. I have loved every aspect of Jeff Harris' work over the years and have tremendous respect for the man and his views on the animation industry. His site gives great insight to the inner workings of what's going on, and his articles are some of the best I have ever read. I have looked up to him and his site for a very long time.
On Saturday, he re-did a few things with the site, adding in a new section. Since Saturday I was drinking when I saw the new section and yesterday I was working then came home for the WWE PPV and went to bed shortly after, I didn't go through this new section,
TICA Base, a section dedicated solely to Toonami with schedules, articles, and such. I was going along this new sub-site and saw a new article up where he listed the 15 (actually 16, 2 were tied together) most important shows of Toonami. Going through this list, he did a great job choosing shows of how they were important to Toonami's history and explaining why each was chosen, and gave each show its own page, counting down from 15 to 1. Going through, Sailor Moon was chosen for #7, a very fitting position, but there's a reason I mention this. As I'm reading
this page that I just mentioned, I sae something two-thirds down the page which shocked and amazed me to no end. He had linked our (as in me, Bob, and Tiff) website,
Sailor Moon Uncensored, as a great in-depth site of showing what we missed here when the show was brought over. I should also mention that it was one of only two off-site links in the whole countdown, the other being
Japan Hero just a little further down to find info on the new live action series currently airing in Japan.
So, I am super fricken happy right now. It's always nice to know when someone appreciated your work, but when it's coming from someone who you've looked up to and have had the utmost respect for for such a long time, it's really awesome. Jeff Harris, if you're reading this, I just want to pubically thank you for doing that. It really made my day and I appreciate it very much. Keep up the terrific work you're doing, I really look forward to it.
