Jumbled Thoughts

interesting weekend
Something that's kinda cool and kinda sucks happened, I got my Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament Saga (Part 1) box on Friday. Kinda cool since it's not out for a couple weeks, kinda sucks since that's a little less than $60 that I thought I wouldn't have to worry about for a couple weeks. I could've used that for more games at Microplay's annual sidewalk sale, where every year in a weekend in July they move a bunch of games outside their store and sell them for pretty cheap. Yesterday I ended up buying a NES games, Captain Skyhawk (played it at a friend's when I was in like 4th grade and loved it) and StarTropics (one of the better NES games out there), and for PS1 I got The Legend of Dragoon (supposed to be really good, plus was only $6 for the 4 CDs). When I went to pay for the games, I saw inside anime VHSs for 99 cents each (nothing really stood out to me except MKR, which I already have the DVDs), and nice CD binders for only $10. The things hold 216 CDs each, are pretty high quality, have a zipper to open and close them back up, and have zipper pockets in the front of the binder. I held out buying a couple since I didn't know how much money I had in my checking account and I only had enough in my wallet to cover the games. Now that I've looked into my account and see my landlord still hasn't cashed my rent check, I'm gonna buy a couple binders and finally get all those anime CDs I got from Hugh (when he moved near all his anime from CD-Rs to DVD-Rs, ~400 CDs I scored ^_^) and possibly a few other games I had my eye on. Going back to the mall, like I mentioned I would do in my A-kon report, I bought the first DVD set of The Super Milk-Chan Show. Hilarious shit, and I know that all my friends would love it, and since I was probably going to be going to Brandon's birthday party later in the day (all this occured yesterday) after getting home, I figured I'd show it to him and anyone else there since they'd die of laughter like I did. Also worth noting before leaving the mall was that I was finally given my first hours at the arcade, I'll be working 12 - 4 on Wednesday to get trained by Casey, can't wait. I'd normally mention something happening at work, but it was slow and uneventful, all the fin of the day was after work when I finally got to do some shopping for myself. ^_^

After I got home, the evening/night didn't really go as I had planned. After me reminding him about Brandon's party on Friday, he seemed into wanting to go up after his baseball game with some Fulton friends and after I got back from work. I get to his place after getting home and changing, and he doesn't feel like driving. So after getting excited for this party for near a month now, I don't get to go. It's one of those times where it sucks to not have my own car because then I could've just driven up there myself. So I accept this little change and decide to enjoy the rest of the night, but not much was really going on. I was almost going to leave and come home to do stuff since I was doing nothing for a while. I started drinking the Black Velvet that me and Steve bought the night before so I did end up staying there, and was trying to push Milk-chan since I know they would love it. Around like 1 - 1:30-ish after they got Spiderman 2 downloaded and burned to SVCD, since we were plastered and didn't feel like watching Spiderman 2 since most the people there haven't seen it and wanted to when not in an altered state of mind, I tried to push Milk-chan again since it would've been perfect since we were messed up anyways and the show is hilarious and would make you feel more messed up. But instead, they put in Dodgeball, which is a good movie, but it was kind of annoying since all but one of us had already seen it, and except for me, all of those there who had seen it watched it earlier in the day. I ended up going home when they had to switch SVCDs to the second half since I did have to get up for work this morning. So the day after work was great yesterday, I just kinda wish the night was better and should've done other things.

Now, I'm off to work and Microplay. Have to get those CD binders and hopefully a few more games. Then it's WWE PPV night when I get home, so hopefully that'll be enjoyable.
