great holiday weekend This weekend is turning out to be a great one thus far. First off, our new employees at Taco Bell are doing really well in their first few days. One of them, Molly, is quiet but is a hard worker doing anything she's told to do without a second thought, kinda reminds me of me when I started. When JoAnne told her she was too quiet, I stood up for her, saying she's just like when I was first hired, give her some time to break in. The other new girl, Lindsey, isn't as quiet, and is just as good a worker. She's very friendly and definetly started off on a good foot. We had our break together on Friday so ate and talked together, and the two of us clicked pretty quickly. A funny thing to mention, she thought I was only 16! I thought that was pretty funny, especially since she already knew how long I've been working there. She's really cute too, it's too bad two things are keeping me from trying to get together with her, she turns 18 a month and a half after I turn 21 (and she'll be a senior in high school, with me a senior in college), and she has a boyfriend. Meh, God's teasing me right now and must be loving it. -_- Oh well, what's important is that the workplace is a bit more enjoyable now again and I'm sure we'll end up being good friends. She was even impressed by my DDR skills, why can't I find someone like this closer to my age and single?
Yesterday was a great day for me. Not because it was a slower day at work for the holiday weekend, not even because with the day off today I could just get completely bombed and not have to worry about work. It's because very shortly, I'll be working in the arcade. ^___^ People there have either left or will be leaving soon, with only three people remaining starting Wednesday: Casey (manager), Paul (assistant manager), and Sean (no special title but a fellow SUNY Oswego student). Since they need a couple people to work only a couple days a week, Paul came to my counter yesterday and asked if I wanted a job. My response was "It's been my childhood dream!" I just finished filling out the application online, that should be there by the next time I'm in the mall on Tuesday, a quick interview with Casey, some payroll paperwork, and I'm all good to go. I've been wanting to work there damn near my whole life, so I'm really happy to see me finally getting a job there. I'm really looking forward to it.
Last night was a fun night. One of Sean's friends in Fulton was having a party, so we all went there. There was an inground pool there, which led to a lot of fun, plus the guy's house was a really nice house too. And his room in the basement is awesome. Definetly a lot of time and dedication went into designing and decorating it. When we got back to Oswego to Kev and Sean's house, a few of us went down the street to set off some bottle rockets to celebrate the holiday. And we're gonna do some more tonight during the fireworks. Me and Steve went to a house down the street for a bit too and drank some more there, and eventually we all decided to go to bed. Very fun night.
Today I'll be doing laundry and watching all of last week's wrestling. Since I closed over in Liverpool last Sunday night, I missed the PPV. Since I didn't see the PPV, I didn't want to watch Raw for the chance of spoliers. The on my day off I didn't know where the tape was for both of them, so when Thursday came along I missed Smackdown too. So I must catch up today before I fall further behind tomorrow. And yay for the arcade job! ^_^
